BUDDING actress Frida Farrell had moved to London to launch her career - picayune did she know that an innocent conversation with a human being on the street would take a horrifying touch on the rest of her life.
Then 22, she was lured into a v-storey building on the uppercase's glossy Harley Street, believing she'd exist taking office in a photoshoot for a holiday brochure.

But every bit she entered the flat, her captor slammed the door behind her, locked information technology and pulled out a knife.
What followed was a iii day ordeal in which Frida was drugged and forced to have sex with at least eight men. Luckily she managed to escape later on her captor forgot to lock the door.
Now 38 and a unmarried mum, Frida says modernistic slavery "happens all the time" to "normal" girls but similar her.
"If I say 'sexual activity slavery victim' to you lot – you have an image in your caput," she told the Huffington Mail.

"Simply any woman or any girl could be kidnapped and put into this situation. Anyone is for auction, you're but a trunk.
"They don't intendance where you're from or what y'all look like. I was just a normal daughter, I was like anyone else in my class. It happened to me because I was walking domicile that dark."
It's now been 16 years since Swedish-born Frida's horrifying ordeal - and she says the problem is worse than always.

She said: "I simply looked at him and knew he had, and he knew that I knew, but I just idea I'm going to drink information technology. I don't desire to feel the knife, I'd rather just drink it."
Frida was then ordered to put on some used underwear before she passed out.

"He still doesn't know why I concluded it so abruptly, all these years subsequently."
In the months following her ordeal Frida suffered nightmares and panic attacks, some and so bad that her whole torso convulsed with the shakes.
"My legs and arms would start shaking when I thought nigh it," she recalled.

"In one case I had to pull over in the auto every bit couldn't drive."
Frida, who at present lives in LA with her one-year-old girl, Mia Rose, has decided to turn her feel into a film, Flat 407 – in which she stars – in a bid to raise awareness of the plight of those defenseless up in modernistic slavery, whether domestic or sexual.
"We fix the flick in a nondescript city, because information technology could exist anywhere," she explained.
"Slavery happens in all the big cities - and small ones too. Nosotros live in our bubble of the nice fleck nosotros're in, going to our job, coming together friends.
